Three tries to get the job done; long lead times; inflexible scheduling
We are nearing the end of a 15 year warranty period on our Milgard doors. The latch/lock mechanism failed on one kitchen door so I called for warranty service. It took three tries to get the job done. The first guy adjusted the door, but left with it working about as bad as when he came. It took about two months from my next phone call to get a service person on site. He tried to adjust the door but ascertained very quickly that the mechanism needed to be replaced. I think the first guy should have ascertained that.
After about a two month wait I called to see what was going on and discovered a service call had been scheduled but I had not been notified. I could not make the scheduled time work so had to reschedule for another two weeks later.
That appointment was today. The service man showed up on time, was polite and professional and maintained a very clean work site. He (and the second guy) both earn an A+ for their efforts.
I find Milgard hard to work with and difficult to schedule. But they did eventually get the job done.
Stayed until door was as designed
The service people were courteous and knowledgeable and adjusted the door lock until it was correct. They made a hit with my wife when they used plastic shoe covers as they entered the home!
Replacing our windows was easy & great!
We had an appointment made and had something come up at the last minute so we had to change the appointment. When we called the service tech was in the area and would call us if he could arrive at an earlier time. He came in plenty of time for us to keep both of our appointments. His service was fast and you could tell that he knew what he was doing. He also answered our questions which we appreciated. We can actually see out of the windows again and appreciate Milgard's quick and efficient services and have loved their lifetime warranty. Thanks to all!

Couldn't have been better
Appointment time was 11:30 to 1:30. They called 10 minutes before they showed up at 11:50. Perfect!
Replace one window and fixed one slider. In and out in 30 minutes. Awesome.
