I've had Milgard over several times over the years with mixed opinion. But this last time with Jaime was the best.He was prompt, helpful in explaining the problem, and very professional in his work. He is a keeper. So be nice to him and treat him right.

Poor experience from start to finish (2/5)

We had 10 windows installed as replacement for hail damage original construction Milgard windows. 2 of the windows were originally delivered with manufacturing defects. They were installed and a warrantee claim was initiated. The earliest replacement date was 6 weeks out. When replacement windows were delivered neither were fit to be installed. One was a round picture window delivered to be installed in a square frame and one had another manufacturing defect. No one could explain were the problem came originated. The install tech left and there was no further direct communication from Milgard to me. I finally called and discovered the next replacement date was another 5 weeks from the first and was set for during a time I was out of the country. I rescheduled for first appointment of the day on the day following my return to the US. Upon arrival there was a message indicating the service call would be mid day instead of first appt. I called the next morning and was informed that they didn't have note of my first appt of the day request. However, when they looked at the central call center notes they did indeed find my request. Thus I cancelled work twice for services that weren't rendered appropriately due to the company's negligence. The service tech's were perhaps the only good part of the entire experience as they were very friendly, help make an assessment of damage to the delivered glass and were very efficient. Unfortunately, during the final install the technician inadvertently disconnected the RF receiver for a hunter douglas blind the is 2 story up in a cathedral ceiling room. Annoying to need to pull out a ladder and scale the heights to fix it! I spoke with customer service (before identifying this blind issue) regarding the difficulties and continue to be underwhelmed with the service response. Everyone I have interacted with has shifted blame to something/someone else and no one has truly taken responsibility. Apparently the company has recognized there is a major problem with the service line and has attempted to reorganize but still fails to understand that at the customer level this means nothing if we are left rearranging our schedules to get the job done correctly but the company can't deliver. I explained to the customer service rep that I incurred costs of lost work and incurred real costs that I wouldn't have if they hadn't rescheduled my last service call at the last minute. The rebate check is a pittance compared to the real costs associated with their inept personnel.

First contact with Milgard for warranty service was June 2017. Finally, failed windows were replaced on March 12, 2018. Installers were excellent. Milgard's response time very poor.

Couldn't be better (5/5)

Tech called before arrival and arrived exactly on time. We are very senior and he immediately helped to move a recliner out of the way. Then he literally attacked the job. Removed two window assemblies, cleaned the frames, put new sealant tape in, lightly tapped the new assemblies in, then washed the windows. I think he was complete n 15 minutes. He was very friendly and really explained how the windows failed. He knows his product and he is a master craftsman. For Milgard: This is the second review request. What happened to the first one I submitted??

I have had nothing but difficulty with this company!!! (1/5)

I bought these windows, excited about the warrantee...they turned frosted and cloudy on the sides of my home that receive direct sunlight. I have had 2 services that have had the "wrong sized" windows on the truck. Today I had a NO SHOW for service. No call, no explanation. When I called, I was told they knew the service date would not be honored because the window size in not available. No one bothered to call me before I had to take my 3rd day off from work to be here. I still have no resolution and the windows are still needing to be replaced. UGH!! The worst service ever!

Worst Service Ever! (1/5)

We were scheduled several months out from installation for our initial service on our brand new door. The door would not glide smoothly. At that time the technician determined that the screen that came with our sliding glass door was damaged or defective. He said he would get a new one ordered. This was October 2017. We received a phone call from Milgard telling us that our screen would not be installed until either January or February 2018. That time came and went and I was informed that it would now be March. I had informed the service department multiple times that service had to be on a Friday or Saturday due to work constraints. I received a phone call telling me that my appointment was scheduled for March 20th, a Tuesday! I called and told them, no, it has to be a Friday or Saturday. The female that I spoke to said there was no mention in the records that I had requested those dates. Right, that does not surprise me. I just received an email that now says I have to wait until May 18th, two more months! This is rediculous. We order the door in July. Ten months later we will get our screen??!! There is not one person in the customer service department that gives a darn either. I asked to speak to a supervisor and I was told that they were busy and would call me back. Well guess what, no one ever called me. This is the very LAST time that we will ever buy Milgard anything. They have the worst customer service I've ever experienced.

It took me over six months for someone to finally come to my home to review my problem and then when they came here and they repaired the problem and caused another problem After they repaired the problem my door no longer slid smoothly and blocked smoothly and my screen no longer lined up properly and was scraping in its track This service man attempted to repair it and said OK try this I tried it several times that I should know this does not slide properly shall after several attempts to repair the problem it finally was satisfactory still not the way it was originally I’m in business myself and if I told my customer she wouldn’t be six months to come out and service to a problem I would be out of business I can’t believe it took six months for someone to come out to my home in service my door I would never recommend you to anyone
