We had Milgard installed over 15yrs ago when we 1st moved in. Overtime our sliding door got really hard to open and close so we called Milgard. They replaced the track within 15 minutes of their arrival no charge . While he was here we asked about our front window that had some discoloration. He said it would be replaced no charge. Two weeks later they did it. What a company!!! Highly recommend them.

Milgard refuses to publish a critical review of their service.

I had to wait 2 months from the time I called my installers to report the damaged windows to getting Nick out.

I reached out to Milgard direct after not getting any calls for one month. My installer told me that Milgard will call me in 2 weeks. No calls ever came.

From the time I reported a warranty issue, it took about 6 months to get the problem solved. The good news it that when solving the one issue, the on site service reps went above and beyond in inspecting and rectifying issues throughout all the windows in my house.

The techs called to see if they could come early and finished the repair quickly. Very professional. The service rep was able to find my file despite my inability to find the serial numbers on my windows. My only issue was the their response to my email message sent via their website was just an automated reply. After a week I contacted them again and was able to schedule the repair. I did state that the repair was NOT an emergency, but I'm not sure if they forgot me. In any case, I am very happy with both the product and the service. The oldest Milgards were installed here in 2001. I have have very few service issues, but they were all handled very well.

Goldfinch was not the cheapest company we talked to and they were worth the extra cost. Kevin was down-to-earth and informative. He had a wide range of products, responded promptly, kept his promises and was a pleasure to work with. The installers were professional and responsive to our questions and were clearly experienced installers.

Over a month ago, in February 2018, someone shot out one of my 16 Milgard fiberglass windows with a pellet gun.

I called a local ABQ NM Milgard retailer to ask for replacement of the window. The Milgard retailer told me to call Milgard Warranty Services.

I called Milgard Warranty Service at its Colorado center in February. I spoke to a young man by the name of “Clark”.

“Clark” told me I would have to pay for the new window because my Milgard Warranty does not cover for such damages. I agreed to pay for a window replacement, as long as a Milgard tech did the work so it would not violate the terms of my Milgard Warranty.

I also requested the Milgard tech who would replace the shot-out window, to ALSO replace the broken plastic rollers on the bottoms of my Milgard slider windows.

“Clark” agreed that my request for new rollers was a proper Milgard Warranty Service, and such services would be scheduled.

Yesterday, March 16, 2018, “Clark” called me. He told me I would have to make personal arrangements with a local Milgard retailer to replace the shot-out window.

And, he told me that Milgard would mail the replacement rollers to me and I would have to install them myself. I told him there is NO WAY that I would perform this roller replacement Milgard Warranty Service.

Later on the same day (March 16), “Clark” sent me an email which states what he told me during our phone conversation, with a link to Milgard DIY video on how to install the new rollers.

I will again contact the local ABQ NM Milgard retailer regarding the replacement of my shot-out window.

I will NOT self-install the broken rollers on my Milgard fiberglass slider windows.

I need and WANT a responsible Milgard Warranty Service MANAGER to call me ASAP regarding this review.

Our first call to Milgard was in August 2017. It took until November to get 4 of 6 windows replaced. The other 2 were the wrong size and were not replaced until March of 2018. This was 7 months after the first call.

All staff contacts were very professional, helpful and friendly. The installation crews were really great and each time completed their work in under one hour.

3-4 months to make a window seems a little excessive.

It took 2 years to resolve this issue.Lifetime guarantee .Almost a lifetime to get it .

The only reason I can't give a full 5 star review is because of the extended period of time it takes Milgard to respond to the initial contact and then the extended period of time to be put on their schedule after they have responded.However, the customer service technician was outstanding: called ahead to confirm he was coming, was polite and professional. Did a perfect job, did not leave a mess and even moved the furniture back in place after he was finished. I used to run customer service departments for large homebuilding companies in SoCal, and your representative was exactly the kind of person I always looked to hire. Represents your company extremely well.

We had our Milgard windows installed well over 10 years ago, and recently 3 of the window seals had broken, fogging the glass. We called to schedule an appointment to have them replaced. The call with the Service rep was quick and painless. Our appointment was scheduled, and our technician, Jaime, arrived within 10 minutes of the start of the 2 hour window. He was friendly, quick, and professional, and did not mind that my dog wanted to say 'hello' before she went off to mind her own business. His work was excellent. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Chris arrived on time and despite facing an outdated sliding glass door, managed to modify the door so the new latch would work. We're very happy with the results.

More than half of my windows in my new home had defects. There were roller marks between the panes of glass. Windows were identified 1 year ago for replacement. Just got the last replacement window yesterday. One year later and at least 5 trips to the home due to not bringing right size, right type of window. Every time an error was found, it took months to get on the schedule for a 2-person crew to complete the install. You don't know the 2-hour window until a couple of days before the install so you have to take leave from work to accommodate. More training is needed at warranty office to research builder specs and order the right size and type of window. A 1-800 number would be nice as I was on hold and managing phone calls for at least 30 minutes repeatedly to schedule the install. For a problem this big, there should have been a supervisor or manager to personally walk the property and oversee the order and the install. I had to do that oversight which took me hours to manage. Last door install resulted in damaging my ceiling so I will also have to touch that up. Impressed with warranty commitment but definitely not impressed with lack of crew availability to service Colorado Springs.
