June 2017: Just hope you never need customer service from Milgard. First you have to measure each window pane exactly yourself and understand exactly what you have because it varies greatly . I don't know about you but I am not skilled that way which is why I buy warranties and have other people install things in my house. I don't understand why they can't refer to their records for the windows that were bought for this house. It took 3 months to get an appointment and guess what? I was 5/8 inch off on one of my measurements so he had to measure and reschedule. I get a call saying the next appointment is in December The guy came and tells me that the September Milgard guy measured wrong!!!! and that 'scheduling will call me to try again' They never called and apparently emailed me only but I changed my email. So I get a call apologizing that my February 5th appointment has to be rescheduled because the glass was incorrect. 2 problems here: I didn't know I had a February 5th appointment and once again they messed up. I call them to yell, scream and sort this out. The woman apologizes and admits that the guy who made the mistake measuring is no longer there and that they have received other complaints about the customer service. So we reschedule for February 20th. Now comes the hilarious part. An hour later I get a message from Milgard giving me my 2 hour window for the arrival of the window panes for the Feb 5th appointment! I have to call her back and let her know that it was cancelled. Are you freaking kidding me!!? Here's an idea: send someone the first time to measure correctly instead of leaving it up to the homeowner. Are they wasting materials doing this? Finally on February 20th (anyone doing the math?) I get the correct window pane and it fits. God help me if my other windows need attention

We are pleased to have our failed windows replaced yesterday. The service person completed it within an hour and cleaned up everything. We are satisfied with the whole experience from the point when we reported the problem with two windows to the point where they were replaced without any charge to us.

Everyone from the Service Department Representative to the In-Home Service Techs were professional and easy to deal with. The whole process to get the window repaired was as painless and easy as it could possibly be.

We have been Milgard customers since 1999. The seal on one set of our windows failed. Replacement service was excellent top to bottom. Jesus the Service Technician was the best.

I had warranty work done on my windows. First there was debate whether or not I should get this warranty service. When we purchased the windows 30 years ago (we built the house)there was a life time warranty on them and that's why we purchased them from Milgard. On the West and East facing windows we put some extra after market tinting put on since Milgard didn't have dark enough tint available on the original windows. We wanted darker windows. There was some tinting but not enough. We had a company put extra tinting on some of the windows. No one told us that would void our Milgard Life time warranty on those windows. In January 2018 we had a Milgard service guy come out and we pointed out the leaking windows and the gaskets that looked questionable. Some of them he disregarded because they had the after market tinting on them. Warranty no good for those. We had 3 windows that they agreed to replaced AND what is most important about 2 of these windows, that had no after market tinting on them, they were the worst windows in the house for leaking. So Milgard's reason for voiding the warranty on the other windows with tinting is not a valid reason to void the warranty. The worst windows did not have the after market tinting. So the after market tinting was NOT the problem but the poor manufacturing of the Milgard windows was the problem. Secondly the Milgard service tech put in the wrong color of windows. The service tech debated what the tinting was. And he came to the conclusion that it was clear over clear. I didn't think that was right but he is the professional. He brought no samples to see what the color was. Also since they are "professionals" wouldn't they know the color of the windows and that they had some tinting from Milgard on them? They put in Clear over Clear?? They should have put Clear over Solar Bronze and that would have been a closer match to the other windows in the house. Now I have 2 windows that are definitely not the same color as the other windows in the house. Or even close to the same color. After they installed the 2 new windows neither one of the installers mentioned that it was the wrong color. The third window is a bathroom obscure window and they replaced the whole slider part of the window not just the glass, since it was very badly leaking and no aftermarket tinting on that one. That window is now very hard to open, unlike the previous window we had there which was easy to open. Remember these are life time warranty windows, I was told by the woman that helped me over the phone that this would be their last time they would service under warranty my windows. What? Where is the life time warranty? I don't believe what she said is accurate/true.

In-home Service Tech was prompt, professional, knowledge and informative. He patiently explained the construction, installation, maintenance and service of our Milgard windows. We're very pleased. Thank you.

Love the windows. Only issue was the time it took to get the tech to the house. Nearly Three months. Once the tech was here it was quick and very informative.

Once I spoke with the folks from Hollister things went very smoothly. I had to wait almost 2 months for an appointment, but the techs came and fixed the window and sliding glass door I was having issues with in no time. They were neat and professional. Overall I'm very happy with the service!

Alex and Omar were prompt, professional and very thorough in their technical evaluation. They not only placed "booties" on their feet prior to entry into our home , but were very careful "navigating" around our cramped house. They actually identified other windows that needed replacement, measured them and recommended waiting until spring/summer to replace them. (winter at Lake Tahoe) Milgard's techs were a pleasure to work with give new meaning to "Customer Service." Thanks- Mike

The Tech called to let me know he had a cancellation and could be to my place early if that worked for me. It did and I appreciated the heads up. The service was just the replacement of a small window but he made quick work of it and was on his way. While there his was pleasant and professional and made every effort to keep my place clean.

The service was excellent! The individual who came to my house was professional, polite and skilled at his trade. The only negative was a delay in service from my first call and appointment. It took several months before service could be rendered. With that said, it was worth the wait. I would highly recommend Milgard products. I am completely satisfied with the way they stand behind their products.

Milgard Company has the best customer service representatives and installation staff of any company I have ever done business. Customer Service Rep “L” in Hollister was wonderful! She was sincerely interested in my concerns and addressed them in an efficient and time sensitive manner. Installation staff was on time, quick and efficient. Appreciated everyone who worked together to replace my damaged window. Great company, outstanding life time warranty and top of the line staff! Thank you!!

The response via phone was fine. The technician was very nice, professional and knowledgeable.My only criticism was the months long wait to get it done, and the lack of screen replacement for the new window.
