Feb 19, 2018The tech who was helping me on the phone hung up on me and did not bother to call back to finish the conversation. When I called the person who answered was very rude and transferred me to a long wait instead of a human. It has taken Milgard almost a year to change out one panel of glass. They have lots of excuses about why they have to reschedule and still not glass. Hoping now that it has been outsourced to a different company it will get done. Not sure if we just had bad luck or if milgard is always like this?

Feb 19, 2018We have had issues with my son’s bedroom windows. we finally had their installer out here amonth ago, after paying for new screens in august and ordered new windows. It took that long!!! They finally came in January and the installer put the screens in the wrong window and took the good one - I still have not received back. He tried to fix my son’s window, but it is still unsatisfactory. I have sent numerous emails and called, but I haven’t received a response. I would never recommend Milgard nor would any of our neighbors in the Willow’s Edge Subdivision in Crystal Lake IL.

Feb 19, 2018After nine months, my new French style slider jammed leaving the door open. Would not budge. This happened on one of the coldest nights of the year. Although Milgard responded to my online service request the next day, I was advised that a service tech would not come to my home until the following day. So another night with the door standing open and no apparent urgency to getting it fixed. Thankfully, a technician called the next day and within an hour replaced both roller units under the door and made other needed adjustments. The service technician was excellent, the door is beautiful, but the quality of the door’s components is a disappointment. I do, however, appreciate that Milgard actually did stand behind its product and made a repair within two days.

Feb 19, 2018Older windows installed by Milgard during the 90’s started to leak into the house. After much consultation Milgard personnel decided to replace two windows. Windows weeped from bottom window track into downstairs of house.Windows separated bottom of right corner in two instances, windows or install failed.Milgard replacing two windows.

Feb 18, 2018The repair job went well, the service person arrived within window. My only two complaints was I had to wait 3 months for the job to be performed and the service person who came was not very customer service oriented . He came, didn’t introduce himself, did the job and left.

Feb 17, 2018Scheduling the appointment time was easy, though I attempted to create an appointment online and no one ever got back to me. I eventually had to call. I was scheduled an appointment approximately 3 weeks later and I was told that they would call me a few days before my appointment to find out what time the technician will be at my home. I never received a phone call. I didn't know what time the technician would show up until he called me 30 minutes before he arrived. Overall, the service was great, but I believe that scheduling an appointment and follow-up should be better.

They have serviced our windows on a few occassions during this timeframe and have always been professional. I would definitely purchase from Milgard again. Great service technicians.
