Time from initial complaint to service was three weeks, involved about a dozen e-mails and phone calls with Lowe's (from whom we bought the door), and very little communication with Milgard. They e-mailed a report saying they would be in touch within 48 hours, and in fact took nearly a week, and it seems like it was only prodding from Lowe's that got them to actually call. At this point, they left a voicemail and scheduled an appointment without talking to us at all, or asking whether it was convenient (it was not).
All that said, the tech who came out was great: super-professional, competent, and careful to make sure everything worked perfectly.
In sum, Milgard showed very little interest in fixing several major errors in their order (they sent us a door with a fin instead of a block, and included an improperly sized and thus non-functional retractable screen door). With a whole lot of help from Lowe's, they finally sent out one of their service techs. The service tech was great, so it is worth being very very persistent.

Feb 12, 2018Initial call was because screen installers said some screens did not fit properly and would need to be replaced. Screen installers did not write up new job ticket and it took weeks to get a service person out to evaluate the screens. Scheduling took weeks after the job ticket was created.
Service person kept the appointment and was on time. He was professional and looked at all screens. When I was told that some screens would need to be replaced because they did not fit properly, I thought it was because they were too loose. The service person said they were fine and were with in acceptible demensions. We found one screen that needed to be replaced and the service person measured the screen and will have it shipped to me.
Overall he performed well.

Set appointment for replacement within a three hours period.Kept appointment on time, bringing replacement window with them, and installation was completed within 30 minutes. Could not have had better service! Prompt, courteous, cheerful, skilled, and efficient. They obviously enjoyed working for the company, and their attitude, attire, and equipment could not have been better!

Feb 12, 2018I Purchased on the Milgard windows for my home about three years ago. Woke up the other morning and noticed one of them had a giant crack in it. I called tje Midgard rep who came out a couple days later take a look at it. He said it would be covered 100% through my warranty. A few weeks later guy showed up in 10 minutes replaced a huge 9 foot window by himself. He was fast courteous and professional. Super impressed

The representatives on the phone are knowledgeable and friendly and the service people are on time and do their jobs quickly and cleanly, they’ve never left a mess. One thing I would like is for the response time between my phone call and the service to be quicker.

A representative called me over the phone after this service call to let me know they would be mailing them so that they would arrive quicker. I called today because I was suppose to have already received my screens and they informed me that they forgot to mail them out. I am frustrated with Milgard because it shouldn’t be this difficult to get my window screens.

Feb 12, 2018I would recommend Milgard to anyone looking for new windows. And I'll definitely use Milgard when I build again. Two reasons for this: excellent product and lifetime warranty (as long as you own the home). I needed a couple windows and doors replaced, and they did it at no cost to me. Impressive. I've shared my experience with many.

They sent two competent service technicians, Paulino and Mark, who arrived between the time frame we were given. Both were very polite and professional, completing the replacement of the large glass in our bay window efficiently and quickly. Thank you Milgard for standing behind your products in a manner that is unfortunately too rare these days.
