Our window replacement required two trips. The first person did a great job replacing the windows I had identified and submitted online. When he came to do replacements, he identified more windows that really needed to be replaced. He measured them, submitted the order, and marked each window with a small X so the next technician could easily identify which windows were involved. Very professional! Great windows and great people!!

Feb 14, 2018Install rep didn't follow instructions from CalCoast (from what I'm told) and now has to come back.
I would like to note that he was impatient and rude upon arrival. He proceeded to ask where the nearest gas station was and my worker didn't know so rather than drive and look he went into my freshly tiled and grouted bathroom and urinated all over the area around the hole. There was no toilet and he was trying to aim in the hole unsuccessfully.

Feb 13, 2018I emailed, rather than called. Milgard stood behind the patio door that needed service and sent out skilled service reps that got the window fixed quickly and effecieny. Excellent service!

Feb 13, 2018The project on four windows to be replaced under warranty started in October of 2016 and did not get completed till January of 2018. Four separate visits that didn't have the right windows. An outside firm contracted to do the work showed up without the right windows. Do the math, not very happy with Milgard.

Feb 13, 2018I was in need of new windows and found out by neighbors that my windows my qualify for lifetime warranty. They said to contact Milgard because they are very nice and it was an easy process for them. I did so, and I wasn't disappointed at all. All my windows were covered, and all I needed was to supply them some window information. This was as painless as any service call could get. I will look to Milgard anytime I need new windows, solely because of their customer service.

Feb 13, 2018It seemed like Milgard was overwhelmed with repairs, because initially I submitted an online service request, but had to call a few weeks later to follow up on it. After I got through, the soonest available appointment was 5 weeks out. But, everyone I spoke to during the process was very helpful and knowledgeable and the technician who did the repair (Jaime) was excellent. He texted and called with arrival status and did the repair in about 20 minutes. He even noticed something else on my windows that needed to be repaired.

Feb 13, 2018I contacted Milgard about a problem with a sliding glass door in November. They couldn't find anyone to come out to repair it until February. Then they failed to contact us regarding the fact that the technician had to reschedule, so we waited a whole day and no one showed up. Finally, the technician came and the door was repaired. But it took so long for that to happen it is ridiculous.

Most recent service call was to replace door handle for the 3rd time (2nd handle had broken inside and 1st just didnt work and was scratched upon delivery). 2nd Handle would not lock for 5 weeks before Milgard was able to get over and replace it. As this is far from the only issue we have had with out sliding door our opinion of Milgard is: 1- below average product, poor quality, 2- very long lead times for appointment to fix the numerous issues, 3-once they come out their tech is very friendly and professional. Suggestion to all - bite the bullet and buy Anderson products. We did that for out windows about 2 years ago and still couldnt be happier. Very sorry we didnt spend the money and get the anderson door. Trying to save a little has left us extremely disappointed with our Milgard door.

Feb 13, 2018The specific employee called and we asked them to reschedule and was told they were coming anyway. Once arrived we gave them a timeline and told that what was expressed that was being fixed over the phone was wrong. With our business operating a meeting the project was half complete and after the door was looked at we have noticed that the door from time to time is harder to open then prior. Overall the customer service and experience was poor.

Feb 13, 2018i had never heard of milgard windows before moving to the pacific northwest. my builder & local glass company gave them glowing reviews so i went with them.
i have had only two minor problems in the eight years the house has existed & they were fabulous both times - timely & efficient & very courteous.
if ALL companies in the united states were this good (like les schwab as well), no country on earth could beat us!

Feb 13, 2018I like the product when it functions correctly and I like the price. My major heartburn comes from the service department. Please work on your service to your direct customers. I am amazed at the amount of time it takes to get a service call remedied. The fact that Service is scheduled out 3 to 4 weeks to start with is further exasperated by the fact that most times the item is not taken care of on the first trip and requires to be scheduled out another two or three weeks. This process is extremely frustrating and hard to work around. I am constantly taking criticism for the amount of time it takes on service calls from my clients. I would suggest having some form of service available to the builders that can be done on an expedited process as well as making sure your service technicians have the required parts to complete the job. I have heard from your technicians on multiple times that the work orders are written poorly and they are not sure what they are there to do. When it takes as much time as it does to get them there I cringe every time I hear this. I am in Highhope‘s that you’re moving the base of operation to Portland will be an improvement, but I am hearing things that sound like it may be getting worse than it was based out of Colorado. Normally don’t sending reviews like this as I am far too busy to have the time for all that I receive, but I’m in hopes that venting my frustrations in form of this review may find someone who can actually improve the process.
