Feb 16, 2018First call was on 12/5/17. Very difficult to get through. Appointment was set for 2/1/18. The tech arrived on time but had the wrong glass size. The new appointment was made for 3/15/18. I had to call back and complain. It was re-scheduled for 2/15/18. The technicians did the job in 20 minutes.

Feb 16, 2018Update on what I wrote last November:New replacement doors were ordered. It took 3 months for them to be delivered to our house. Imagine my frustration that they are the wrong size. The Sacramento contact person has not taken or returned my call yesterday or my call today. I stand by my previous comment that I would rank Milgard service with a zero if that was an option.
**From November 2017The service we have had from Milgard since February 2017 has been terrible.
Before they failed, we were happy with our Milgard exterior doors. However, they have caused major problems the last 8 months. Multiple service appointments all yielded no fix. It took a call to one of the VP's in August to finally reach someone who seemed interested in a timely resolution. I left dozens of messages for my contact person in Sacramento during the month of October but she never returned any of my calls. She finally called me two days ago after I mentioned to the receptionist that our only alternative was apparently to sue the company. We still do not have the promised new doors, and furthermore, they aren't even ordered yet. Frustration upon frustration in dealing with the Sacramento Milgard folks. While the company says they will stand by the lifetime warranty, I am not sure the aggravation factor and the ongoing delays are worth it. I would rank Milgard with a zero star if that option was available.

Feb 15, 2018The Milgard service tech only visits our area twice a month, so there was a few week wait. Our window had the interior pane crack, so it wasn't a huge rush anyway. Tech arrived when they said he would and replaced the broken window, absolutely no problems!

Feb 15, 2018Troy the Milgard service rep kept us informed of his schedule the day of the service. He arrived when he said he would and replaced 4 windows in a timely manner. Troy was very professional and even answered some of my more technical questions about the windows. Overall the process was easy, and Troy was outstanding.

Feb 15, 2018Almost a year later...This call center has issues. The tech, who was great, arrived on a day and time not even mentioned as a possibility by the call center. Our initial call was...June? of 2017? Too long ago to remember. The defective window is now fixed. Don't buy Milgard.

For the first time, our replacement window has a small flaw with what appears to be a string of silicone trapped inside the window on the glass. Not a big enough issue to start over. We are very happy Milgard customers !

Feb 15, 2018My review is about the degraded quality changes in Milgard windows I purchased from Lowes and unfortunately the workmanship is not what I experienced from the past. The window design and the glass work is great, but when they put it together they forgot to clean up the glues and even check the handle to see if it is functional.

Feb 15, 2018I originally called for warranty service about a year ago. It took close to two months for a tech to come out to do the assessment, in April. I did not hear anything until I called in late June and was told they had contacted my contractor, but he wasn’t aware of any communications. The install date was set for late August, but the week before the date, we were told it wouldn’t be until the end of September. The afternoon that we were supposed to get the replacements I call and they say it will be late that afternoon, but I get a call about an hour later telling me that they can’t make it that day and they are booked for the next two weeks, so we’d have to wait again. It is curious that we kept getting pushed out. The next date came and went but we finally got the windows replaced in December. But two windows had been measured wrong and we’d need another visit. That finally happened in early February. The install techs were all great, they did a great job when they got on site. The dispatch system is an abomination and judgement of the dispatch/service supervisor is questionable allowing this case to fester for a year. Further, the window crank mechanisms that were supposed to have been sent to the House never arrived. I think I am being very generous with my scoring, but I want to recognize the field techs. The warranty on paper is generous, the execution was flawed.

Feb 15, 2018We had our Milgard sliding glass door installed over 13 yrs ago. The sliding door lost its seal on the glass and developed an unsightly alligatoring effect between the glass panels.When I spoke to our contractor he said the door has a lifetime warranty. So I dug out my records and gave Milgard a call. I was expecting a lengthy drawn out process, but without any hesitation, they scheduled a replacement to be installed in less than 2 weeks.I received a reminder call 2 days before the scheduled date with a 2 hour time frame. The service tech arrived promptly and had the glass panel replaced in 17 minutes flat. He was very friendly, courteous and efficient.I will definitely recommend Milgard to anyone without hesitation. They will be the only one I will consider in the future.Thank you for making the process so easy.

Feb 15, 2018I reported that when the door was closed that it rattled. This turned out to be a quality control issue with the top latching mechanism which the tech could not service. He did put some additional padding around it which reduced the rattle. He also re leveled the door so that it did not scrape on the bottom.

Feb 15, 2018The initial contact was made 10/4/17 requesting a replacement window for living room. First available date for service was 1/19/18. Called at 8 a.m. to cancel due to flu.Second appt was scheduled 1/26/18. Milgard called to cancel this appt as well. Final appt was today, 2/15/18. Technician was excellent. Very polite, competent, careful and successful in removing window and replacing it by himself. I understand that you out source your service to another company. I question whether they are large enough (have enough employees) to handle the volume of work required. The length of time to have this order completed was too long. I must once again complement this technician for being very professional and effective .
