When I finally was able to get service people to my house, they were efficient, professional and competent. The issue was in communication with the factory, where the customer service people were inept, incompetent and unreliable. I started my service contact in July of 2017 and I finally had the problem resolved in March 2018 ( 8 months ) due to the lack of attention by the factor customer service. Either better training or replacement is needed.

Mar 23, 2018We had a problem with our kitchen windows fogging up so we contacted Milgard. They were very professional in identifying the problem and said they would replace the window. Now comes the problems, the first appointment was almost two months away and when they came it was the wrong size window. For the second appointment I added having a problem with my sliding doors adjustment. When they arrived for the second appointment they didn't have the window at all and said that the adjustment problem was a installation problem not their problem. Why they came out when they didn't have the window and wouldn't work on the adjustment was a waste of both of our time. Finally, the third time was the charm, after waiting another two weeks a installer came with the right window and installed it in a very short time and showed me how to fix my adjustment of the doors. We are happy with Milgard but the problem started with not being able to identify the window.

Mar 22, 2018After two years and three different doors being installed the door still leaks air and water. My experience with customer service was abysmal. After being on hold for over 15 minutes I took the option to push 0 to return to the operator. That sent me into a loop that got me no response at all just the same recording playing over and over to push 0 for an operator. I called back and the operator said she must put me in the que and when I tried to explain the situation she just replied very curtly that I must go to the que. I hung up and called right back and after 20 rings I decided she was done with me as she didn't answer or send to some voicemail. She literally put me on ignore. I now have a complete understanding of the customer service staff in it's entirety from phone answering to problem resolution. They are terrible.

Mar 22, 2018We had all of our windows replaced and new a window added. They look beautiful. We did have a flaw in the picture window which Milgard replaced right away. They do stand by their lifetime warranty.

Mar 22, 2018Milguard windows are generally problematic, but the service to have them replaced is good. From my initial call it took about 4-6 weeks to get someone to come and look at the problem, and when replacements were needed it took about 6 weeks to get the new windows, so 3 months start to finish. The people who came were smart and professional, which is a GREAT improvement from the last time a few years ago. Milgard seems to be hiring good people and should be recognized for that.

That was February 28, and we still haven't heard from him on March 22, although we have texted him twice. We love our new windows, but your technician did not live up to your reputation.

Mar 22, 2018The coordination of getting a tech to come out was OK. My window installer faxed a service request, but Milgard said that they never received it. That can happen. So I called Milgard, waited for about a week, but no one called me back to confirm an appointment. Rep said that it was because I didn't have a reference number??? Was a bit confusing. To arrange an appointment was disappointing because it took several weeks to get an appointment for a Tech to come out. However, what made up for all of this was the great Tech that eventually came out. He was courteous and I peppered him with multiple questions which he graciously answered. Overall, I love my windows and have gotten many compliments. Just work on getting a tech out more quickly.

Mar 22, 2018Our house had old, single paned windows that needed replaced, but we didn't think it was urgent. After visiting a home show in Seattle, we met Matt with Lake Washington Windows and Doors and he was SUPER. He explained how the new technology in windows would help our comfort. We planned 13 windows for replacement and on the day of install, we all actually began to feel hot in the living room! Turning our thermostat down made us so happy. We can't wait to see our new electric bill. LWWD was awesome and we can't wait to work with them again when we replace the front doors!
